Bridgette
D. Pozzuto is a leader
in the collaborative divorce movement in our community. She is a director
and founding member of the Cleveland
Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She previously served
as Chair of another local collaborative practice group in 2007, 2008,
and 2009. She has been a member of
the International
Academy of Collaborative Professionals since 2006. Additionally,
she participates in the Cuyahoga County Guardian ad Litem program, representing
the interests of minor children in custody disputes.
Bridgette has
practiced exclusively in the area of family law in Cuyahoga and surrounding
counties since 1998, serving clients who desire experienced, personalized
assistance in divorce, dissolution, custody, and support matters. As opposed
to the formulaic approach some attorneys employ, Bridgette adapts
and tailors her approach to each individual client's case. She provides her
clients with
the highest degree of service, engaging each in a partner-like relationship
in decision-making.
While skilled in the analysis and litigation of complex
domestic relations issues, Bridgette believes
that divorcing couples who agree to stay out of litigation preserve their
privacy, their dignity, and their ability to effectively co-parent their
children after the divorce. Therefore, she offers her clients the opportunity
to choose alternative dispute resolution methods, including collaborative
divorce and mediation.
Bridgette graduated
summa cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1991 and
earned her J.D. from Temple University School of Law in
1994.
She was selected by Law & Politics periodical as a Rising
Star among Ohio's
Super Lawyers in 2005, 2006, and 2007. Bridgette is a member of the Cleveland
Metropolitan and Ohio State Bar Associations,
and she has
been admitted
to the bars of the State of Ohio, State of Pennsylvania and the United States
Supreme Court.
